Registration open as of 27 March

In what is expected to be one of the most influential elections of 2024, we put the candidates in line to lead Europe onstage to answer your questions, so you can decide how you want to cast your vote. Each contender for the office of president of the European Commission will represent their own political party on the podium in Maastricht, the birthplace of the 1992 Maastricht Treaty that established the European Union. Before and after the debate you can join the European election festival on the Vrijthof square. You can find the full line-up and activities here. 

UM students and other interested are welcome to register for the debate. Registration opens on 27 March at 09:00. First come, first served! 

Be quick to register if you do not want to miss this unique experience! Places are limited, and previous editions sold out quickly. If you have not been able to secure a place, you can register for our waiting list. You will automatically receive a message when a place is available.  

On 29 April, accreditation opens at 16:15 and remains accessible until 17:00 , simultaneously with the opening of the festival site. Make sure you come by between these times to register yourself and get your personal wristband. Please bring your ID.
