Alain Dupont appointed as member of UM Supervisory Board
The Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science has appointed Professor Alain Dupont as a member of the Maastricht University Supervisory Board for a four-year period starting 1 September 2019. Professor Alain Dupont succeeds Professor Marc Groenhuijsen.
Professor Dupont (65) has a long academic career in the field of medicine and pharmacology at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) and University Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussel). At both of these institutions he also has acquired extensive executive experience.
Chair of the Supervisory Board Annelies van der Pauw is pleased with Alain Dupont’s appointment: “His wide experience in the academic world, and the medical world in particular, as well as his extensive knowledge in the field of education and research will be very valuable in fulfilling a role on the Supervisory Board at Maastricht University.”
The Executive Board welcomes Professor Dupont as a member of the Supervisory Board and looks forward to working with him in future.
